Technology Transfer

The Office of Rubber Replanting Aid Fund will transfer the technology to the rubber farmers who attend its project in provincial parts of the country by training courses. The training courses will be started with rubber plantation processes through the production development to have the good quality according to the market requirements. This is to support rubber farmers in reducing production costs, building strong community, and self-development. The Office of Rubber Replanting Aid Fund will train rubber farmers according to their ages and needs as follows:

1. The technology transfer during the plantation replanting is in the period of young rubber trees and there is no rubber productivity, so rubber farmers will be educated in maintenance of plantations, fertilizing, agro-forestry, and training courses, such as farming and handicraft;

2. After the termination of the plantation replanting, it is the time of starting rubber tapping. At first, rubber farmers will be transferred the technology about rubber tapping to increase productivity and avoid harming the latex vessels to extend the trees’ growth. Moreover, there are training courses in production development, such as high quality of rubber sheet production; trade association; fertilizer production; chemical and organic fertilizer using, and the courses in value adding for productions, such as making products from latex, making furniture from rubber wood, making flowers from rubber leaves, etc;

3. The development of rubber farmers, leaders in community, cooperatives, and agriculture institutes by organizing the training courses, seminars, and field trips is to support their potential. In addition, the Office of Rubber Replanting Aid Fund supports in network building and network development to connect with agricultural institutes strongly. For example, cooperative management, family accounts, and farmer teachers who need to transfer the technology to the next generation.
